Adom Community:Residents Wailing Impact of Poor inner Roads on their lives
Residents of Adom community in Accra are calling on the government to fix their poor road network. The community has about 600 people which is few meters away from the Trobu constituency. The local authorities do not pay much attention to their bad roads which makes lives and driving difficult when it rains.
The community has deep potholes and muddy road,some residents spoke about the roads at the community assembly meeting but still didn’t come to their aid.Some also said “when it’s time for elections they come begging for votes and make different kinds of promises but after they are elected they don’t see them at all”. The way the community becomes when it rains is very bad, someone can get hurt and this can also cause accidents.Another person also said “we have MPs so we want them to talk about our bad roads in the community ”. They also yinebo.blogspot.comdo not have gutters in the community which also impact the community negatively.When it rains some people in the community get worried because they live in Woden houses ,so they are scared the heavy rain will destroy their homes. The roads in the community are very bad. I want to ask this questions;What are the MPs and Assemblymen doing? Why do we have this people in our communities and constituencies when they can’t fix our problems?They therefore call on the government to take steps to address the problems of their community.
